Chris White
Managing Director
As Managing Director Chris is responsible for the day to day running of White Associates, and takes overall ownership for all engineering design which leaves the office. He is a mechanical services engineer by qualification, and is still very much part of the design team, actively carrying our services design on a number of projects.
Chris is highly experienced in residential development projects, and as a qualified NHER OCDEA he has an excellent understanding of SAP, the Code for Sustainable Homes (CFSH), Part L1A – and their close relationship with the correct services solution for any multi-dwelling building.
He has led M&E design teams on projects up to a build value of £52m, and has written specific guidance papers on using SAP to meet section ENE1 of the CFSH. Chris also has a good deal of varied experience in all sectors of construction, and has worked on key projects such as the V&A Museum, The Royal Marsden Hospital, and ITN News Offices. He was also the mechanical design engineer on the historic Handel House Museum in London. More recently he has personally worked on the Reactor Monitoring Cooling Equipment at a Nuclear power station, The London 2012 Olympics, and he is also undertaking the feasibility and detailed design for the largest river-water geothermal abstraction scheme in the UK at Kingston Riverside.
