For security reasons we are prevented from publishing site-specific details, however, we completed the cooling and ventilation design to the reactor monitoring equipment rooms, and their associated UPS power supply plant rooms to one of the country’s leading power stations. The works included highly complex SPOF analysis, compliance with rigorous specification requirements, and British Energy engineering guidelines. The systems require 100% redundancy, with neither system carrying the same manufacture, nor inherent components. The project also involves the design of a hydrogen extract system to keep the plant room atmosphere <1% hydrogen.
